Probably some of the most frequently used words in a language are the names of human body parts.
It would be interesting for Turkish language learners to read that some body parts names in English may sound somewhat funny in
Turkish, and vice versa. Here are some body part names:
Kafa: head
El: hand
Parmak: finger
Baş: head, as in principal, or main
Baş parmak: thumb (the literal translation would read like "head finger")
Serçe parmağı: pinky (the literal translation would read like "sparrow finger")
Ayak parmakları: toes (the literal translation would read like "foot fingers")
Ayak baş parmğı: the big toe (the literal translation would read like "head foot finger")
Kol: arm
